The Village Anchor

An eclectic European bistro-pub housed in Anchorage's historic train station, opened in 2010 by Louisville native Kevin Grangier. The 260-seat space blends Parisian flair with English pub warmth — stone, red leather, wrought iron, and the original crimson beer taps from Churchill Downs' Silks Bar. Creative comfort food ranges from the famous Candied Anchor Bacon and sweet potato fries with bourbon-marshmallow crème to filet mignon and goat cheese salads. The lower-level Sea Hag Pub features a 30-foot copper bar with built-in ice troughs, 50+ bourbons, and 60+ beers.
