The Fat Lamb

An industrial-chic Highlands bistro opened in November 2016 by Chef Dallas McGarity and his wife Laura. McGarity, a Johnson & Wales-trained chef from South Carolina, won Food Network's "Chopped" and was named a 2024 James Beard Award semifinalist. The seasonal menu blends Mediterranean and Southern influences using locally sourced Kentucky ingredients—signature dishes include the roasted rack of lamb, whipped feta, and the double smash burger. A curated bourbon list, craft cocktails, and a warm neighborhood atmosphere round out the experience. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends.
