Quatman Cafe (Mason)

The second location of a Norwood institution that opened in 1966, transplanted to Mason’s West Main Street with the same family ownership, the same half-pound cheeseburger, and the same stubborn refusal to overthink it. Daily lunch specials, homemade soups, chicken salad, and mock turtle soup give the menu more range than the flagship, and the outdoor patio is a warm-weather draw for the suburbs. Paper plates, cold beer in frosty mugs, and an easygoing pace. Not trying to be a neighborhood bar — turns out it already is one.
