Stopped in on a weekday afternoon, so we missed the breakfast rush this place is known for — but still managed to sample a bit of both worlds. The Press Avocado Toast was the standout. Pear, toasted walnut, pomegranate, egg, pea tendrils, honey on wheat — sounds busy, but it works. Unique and legitimately good. The Salmon BLT was light and well-balanced, basically a better version of something we make at home, which is a compliment. The cheeseburger? It's a cheeseburger. Good, not memorable. But the fries were fantastic — seasoned just right without overdoing it. Also grabbed an Oregon Pale from Lexington-based Mirror Twin Brewing Co. from the beverage cooler - hit the spot. If you've got a sweet tooth, the Cinnamon Roll Waffle is the move. Cinnamon chips, brown sugar shake, whipped cream icing. You know what you're getting into. Order at the counter, they assign you a table, food comes out when it's ready. Simple. Prices are reasonable and the guy working the counter was in a genuinely good mood, which always helps. We'd go back for breakfast next time.
