Springfield institution since 1977. Founded by Mike Wagner and Bob Rosencrans ('Rosy'), a Wittenberg University coach and athletic director who passed from ALS in 2003. They converted a closed Standard Oil gas station into a deli famous for steamed sandwiches—not toasted, but steamed in a special kitchen gadget that softens the bun and melds all ingredients together. Rosy's Press Box sports bar added in 2006 as tribute to Rosencrans. Now owned by Eric and Tracy Mader, Springfield locals who purchased the business in March 2024 to preserve the 47-year legacy. Boar's Head meats, regulars who've ordered the same sandwich for 35 years.
