This building has been everything from an auto repair shop to a shopping mall, but it's legendary as the music venue where Santana, The Allman Brothers, Alice Cooper, and Iggy Pop played for just three bucks in 1969-71. Dave and Claudia Taylor—Cincinnati natives and lifelong Clifton residents—acquired the space in April 2018 and restored it to its former glory while adding a first-rate gastropub upstairs. Chef Kevin Worthington crafts approachable American fare including standout hush puppies with habanero honey and weekend brunch. The 500-seat theater below hosts three to four shows weekly with pristine acoustics. Dinner before the show, then walk downstairs—there's no better night out in Cincinnati.
