La Bodeguita de Mima

Cousins Fernando and Yaniel Martinez built this NuLu Cuban restaurant as a love letter to their family matriarch, "Mima" — a former Miss Cuba and Tropicana performer who rafted to the U.S. from Havana in 1994. The 1950s-inspired dining room transports guests to pre-revolution Cuba with vintage fixtures, red vinyl seating, and live music nightly. Signature dishes like ropa vieja, lechón asado, and the tableside-opened entrée in a sealed can make for one of Louisville's most immersive dining experiences. Full rum bar, cigar-friendly patio, and Havana Nights chauffeured dining packages.
