Golden Gelato

Co-owners Joe Jones and Vanessa bring authentic southern Italian gelato to Covington after Joe fell in love with the dessert on a 2018 hiking trip to Italy and the couple studied under top gelato chefs before opening in 2021. Using traditional Italian hot processes, they craft small batches daily from 100% natural ingredients—no artificial flavorings or pre-made pastes—with locally sourced components whenever possible, creating rotating seasonal flavors like stracciatella, espresso, and hokey pokey (vanilla with toffee bits). The shop also serves vegan sorbets and partners with Deeper Roots Coffee for espresso drinks, including the signature affogato that pairs their dense, intensely-flavored gelato with a shot of espresso.
