The Vibe
This is a bar.
Regulars at the stools, Reds on the TV, cigarette smoke in the air, and a TouchTunes jukebox playing songs nobody had to think twice about. Happy hour runs from 4–7 PM (and 9-11 AM on days they open early I believe), which tells you management is a fan of its patrons.
If you’ve ever had “your spot,” you’ll recognize this one immediately.
The Food
They run a full kitchen — pizza, calzones, burgers, sandwiches, wings — all the right things for a place like this.
I went with the pizza. It’s fine. It’ll fill you up. That’s the job, and it does it. Nothing here is trying to compete with the best pizza in the area, and it doesn’t need to.
This is food that matches the room.
The Bottom Line
This is a Tuesday afternoon with a buddy kind of place. A beer, something to eat, a chill atmosphere, and no expectations beyond that.
You’re not bringing the family here for a pizza night. There are better options for that — and that’s not what this is trying to be.
Fort Thomas Pizza & Tavern is for the people who already know it’s their kind of place. And if it is, you won’t need it explained.
