A hidden gem within a hidden gem. Fourth-generation Yellow Springs native Katie Hammond and her parents Jim and Libby built Mills Park Hotel from the ground up, opening in April 2016. Every table and the bar were handmade from trees harvested on the property before construction—look closely and you'll see grey-silver streaks from the limestone bed below. Southern-inspired comfort food with Charleston and New Orleans influences: shrimp & grits with tasso ham gravy, chicken & waffles, biscuits & gravy. Local sourcing from Ohio farms including Peifer Orchards and Richards Maple Syrup. Front porch seating offers the best view in Yellow Springs.
