Official Curated Review
Really damn good. Go out of your way for this. An hour or two in the car? Worth it. These restaurants are firing on all cylinders, great food, solid atmosphere, memorable experience. You'll be thinking about it the next day.
Some restaurants feel like businesses. Behle Street feels like someone’s place.
Sheli is almost always there, making the rounds, stopping at tables, checking in like a host who genuinely cares if you’re having a good night. And judging by the way people greet her, a lot of them aren’t just customers — they’re old friends who happen to pay for dinner.
The tented patio might be one of the most underrated year-round setups in Northern Kentucky. Heated and cozy in the winter. Open and buzzing in the summer. If a train rolls by while you’re dining, you’ll get the playful “Train Beer” discount — one of those little touches that makes you smile and reminds you you’re somewhere local.
The list of must-tries here is long. Like, legitimately long.
We always start with the Meatballs in that spicy Cajun Bayou marinara, finished with freshly shaved parmesan. I’ve grabbed them to-go just to snack on. They’re non-negotiable.
This week, the table went deep:
Cajun Bayou Fettuccine — tossed in spicy marinara with trio peppers, onions, Andouille sausage, shrimp, and chicken, finished with a dollop of sour cream. Big flavor, no apologies.
Lobster Penne Pasta — penne loaded with fresh lobster, shrimp, asparagus, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Rich without being heavy.
Fettuccini Alfredo — their signature sauce with parmesan, garlic, and butter, topped with plum tomatoes and mushrooms. But here’s the move: don’t be afraid to personalize. I added blackened shrimp and blackened chicken and it completely leveled it up. Behle Street is the kind of place that lets you make it yours.
The Greek Pizza is still a staple — olive oil, fresh garlic, roma tomatoes, red onion, spinach, mozzarella, feta, parmesan — and the Braised Short Ribs with raspberry BBQ sauce and Maytag blue cheese slaw remain one of the most satisfying plates in town.
Dessert? We went full smorgasbord. Key lime pie. Carrot cake. And the BonBonerie Opera Cream Cake — that dense Cincinnati classic layered with vanilla opera cream and wrapped in chocolate glaze. Holy cow. All three were ridiculous.
Drinks flowed too. Manhattan for me. Wine at the table. A Shirley Temple for my daughter. And at some point, Sheli stopped back by again to chat like she always does.
That’s the thing about Behle Street.
The food is bold. The menu is creative. The patio is fun. But what makes it special is that it feels personal. You don’t just eat here. You settle in.
Call ahead on weekends. It fills up. And once you’ve been, you’ll understand why.
"If it's not better than a chain, it doesn't deserve to be on wellfd."
