Arthur's - Hyde Park

A Hyde Park institution for over half a century, this location at Edwards Road has operated continuously since 1947—first as Allen E. Bradford Restaurant, then Apke's Grill (1948), Art's (1956), and finally Arthur's in the 1970s. Current owners Susan Selzer, Joe Santorelli, and BJ Hughes started as bussers and servers in the early 1990s while in college, eventually managing the restaurant before buying it from their bosses. The menu centers on half-pound burgers cooked to order, famous fried cheese, and fish and chips. The signature "Burger Madness" special runs Sundays and Tuesdays in Hyde Park. Walls are painted with faces of regulars, and only local beers flow from the taps. The Anderson location opened in September 2014.
